Up at 6.30am and ready for another day. This time driving into Germany - towards Aachen - to visit Helen's pen-pal Karin. Helen and Karin were both studying in high school when, as 15 year olds, they were matched in a pen-pal writing program, Helen to learn German, Karin to learn English. ... around here.
We made our way around Brussels and on into Limburg, near the river Maas and the borders with Holland and Germany. We stopped at a nice ACSI site costing only 12e. We were both feeling under the weather and very tired - so a very early night for us!
