The harbour wall known as "The Cobb" which is just down the road from our apartment features in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion and in movieThe French Lieutenant's Woman. You may remember Meryl Streep stood on The Cobb with her hooded cape blowing in the wind. ... our flight. Turns out there is a perk for travelling 8hrs over night to be the first at the airport...it means that you get the emergency exit seats! Woohoo plenty of leg room. This seems to be the longest 3 1/2 hour flight and considering the last time I was horizontal in a bed was Sunday evening I'm looking forward to landing, more so my bed.
