... geocache in Minnesota also. Ge let me drive after we were Thur the cities. I did OK, it is wide, and the wind kind of throws you around.

We went 350 miles today. Not bad for not starting until after 1. We are Freedom Camping tonight.

We are looking ahead for tomorrow. Have a National Park in sight. That will be one more off our list.

... br> We watched them getting fed by hand and learned a little bit about their habits and almost extinction due to bounties on their heads which were in place up until the 1950's. They looked like big dogs and the most interesting thing for me was the family tree that showed how many popular breeds of domestic dogs came into being, all of which originated with the wolf.

Not a bad way to spend a rainy day.

Summary

Drove 246 miles in 5 hours.

Highlights

Awoke to a dreary, cold and rainy day, weather that I think is more typical here than the previous two hot sunny days. We were strapped in for a long drive anyway so luckily for us it didn't really matter.

Our usual picnic lunch en route was foiled as we were too cold to eat outside of the car, so had to make do ...

All and all, it was a great eye-opening experience for Glenn, Tara, and Dave. The weather held out nicely considering the record setting rain in the area just before. Carol planned nice meals and Karl provided the overall experience and fishing opportunities. It was a wonderful chance for us to see and do something unlike anything we've done before!

Disaster In Duluth

Well, it was bound to happen. The trip so far has been without problems. All that changed yesterday when I tried to traverse the city of Duluth on my way to Virginia, Mn.. Got caught in high water and believe my engine is hydrolocked. Will find out shortly when I go over to the mechanics. This could be the end of the trip. Even if not don't know how I will get to Virginia as most of the roads north are closed. More to ...
