    ... the Wrigleys owned the entire island. They also owned many of the interesting things on it. There is a place in Avalon called Bird Park. It no longer houses birds but in it’s day it housed over 8000 birds. The entire time it was in operation it never had a lock on the gate. Anyone could visit whenever they liked.
