... plumbing - only chamber pots. What the heck happened to the knowledge and skill the Romans brought with them in those intervening years? The villa is still being dug up, but there was a good part of the mosaic floor brought up, and you could see the layout of the spa, cold baths and tepid - tepidarium - pools. ... towards the Bristol Chanel. It was such a tough day, with climbs way tougher than anything on the coast to coast, it's very hard for me to say whether I really enjoyed it at times. However, this day will always be one of my most epic rides. I'd have big respect for anyone who can ride the coast of Exmoor in a day, even without the preamble from Weston to ...

... calls, comments, physio, verbal support abuse and so on. Without all this I would not have finished this run today. It really has made a big difference; if the run were just for me I am not certain I would have come back after the dissapointment of the Salcombe Slip. And days 23 to about 27 were especially tough too. But thanks for keeping me going.

Look out for more details over the next couple of weeks and hellos and thanks to guys I meet on the path.
