Isle of Man
... cottages with thatched roofs overlooking a windswept and wave-beaten little bay - it was so awesome! And cold! We drove to Port Erin and saw where Taffy and his wife used to go courting :) We went to Port St Mary, and then to the Calf of Man, where you can see a man's face in the rock. We drove to Castletown and saw the school that Fletcher Christian (of the mutiny on the Bounty fame) went to school.
We drove back to Douglas, and went to 'Jaks' ...
Thin matresses, thick doonas and manky bathrooms
... of us but very cool to be in the departure and arrival halls of Cunard's old headquarters (before they shifter their sailings to Southampton).
Behind this building is White Star Line's old offices, now looking very sad and needing some restoration. It seems very strange tome that Liverpool doesn't have a museum dedicated to White Star and Cunard.
Wandered around some more and ended up at Tate Liverpool. ...
Mannifest, Isle Of Man
... Caught the Seacat from Liverpool, jumped on stage, played to a good crowd, went to bed, caught the Seacat to Liverpool...

Isle of Man weekend Basking Shark trip 6-28-7-1-12
... mirrors but he didn’t have any semaphores with him and didn’t appear to be about to jump into signaling so we wandered on I was reminded of a TV program “Due South” of a Royal Canadian Mountie assigned to a task force in Chicago and he would often jump up on the ledge of a building and semaphore his arms to another Mountie somewhere. I really wanted to see some arm waving but was not to be.
