Oh dear. Pick up time is late. 11:30. It's great. You can sleep in and then the meeting point is just on the corner. I love it. Then we visited first a animal park, but I don’t like locked animals. Then we visited the Philipp Island, there is a beach, how rest some seals. Then we visited the famous Penguin Centre. You can see, how some penguins land on the beach, walk across the beach, climbing the hill and search their homes (they use every day the same hole).
Cowes, Victoria, Australia jean-claude... in a bit of dilemma as to whether to move to another flat. Friday 24 th October ARB although expensive had told us about a 4wd show at the Melbourne exhibition centre where we might get some show bargains so we headed off intending to spend a couple of hours there. 5 hours later we emerged with: 12v tyre inflator and repair kit for tubeless tyres, fishing rod and reel, a persona EPIRB (Emergency ...
Dromana, Victoria, Australia therhodesies24th to 29th April 2008 - Road Trip Numero Tres - Trogdor the Burninator After a brilliant three days in Melbourne except for the early morning footy debacles, we headed off on the road again in our third camper van down to Philip Island south of Melbourne. We arrived and the weather was kind to us so we headed out for a couple of pootles along some tracks I had taken before with my sister and the Smedders family a few ...
Cowes, Australia badgers07... temperature has crashed 15 degrees and it is raining, these climate variations are incredible! Tomorrow it is back to Melbourne and the flight is on Friday, then on Saturday we're going on to Phuket to begin 18 days in Thailand. This is courtesy of our Singapore Airlines frequent flyer points, although it was a bit of a mission to book and for a while we were on different aeroplanes. We're hoping for culture, food, James Bond scenery and ...

Carrum Downs, Australia keenos... to regurgitate for the kids. The babies don't know who their parents are but the parents recognize their kids. So as an adult penguin nears a nest, one or two chicks pounce the adult penguin begging for food hoping it's their mom or dad. The adult has to dodge all these chicks before they make it to their own kids. I saw one tired adult penguin trying to take a break on his long walk home when ...

Melbourne, Australia matt_and_ames... and much of the town - it was a perfect place for a glass of wine after a busy day of touring. The next morning we awoke to find a very dark black rain cloud coming over the hill heading for our tent... we quickly packed up camp and headed down the road towards Lorne. This section of the road curves around the coastline giving magnificent views. We stopped for a beach side picnic in Torquay but by the time we reached Queenscliff the cloud had caught us so we ...
Geelong, Australia kathrynandnick'Thanks again for all the info and support guys, it's much appreciated. This has been a big decision and after a lot of thought and consideration I've decided it's a go-er. I've also decided it's going to be far more than just a mind-numbing chug across the desert. It's looking like it might be a round trip of the whole ...
