... Peace Park. And in 1995 it was designated a World Heritage Site. Glacier is flat-out gorgeous. For me, it was the most beautiful park that I have yet visited. The forests are a mix of many trees, making them some of the prettiest that I have been thru. There are many, many wonderful waterfalls. Scenic views are everywhere and, of course, the mountains. I saw a bona-fide glacier here, albeit a small one. At one time there were over ...

I hiked the Highline trail which just opened for the season yesterday because of snow melt. The trail follows a sheer cliff above Going to the Sun Road, an architectural feat of godly proportions. I drove the road itself ...

... miles from anywhere (plenty of people but very few facilities) Great...... now whenever I slowed down and had to stop (fortunately this was at the park entrance and at the roadworks at the Western edge of the park) the bike and I sounded like Harley idiots as I was literally revving the s**t out of the bike when stopped. Okay, the good part was Glacier National Park itself - the video doesn't do it justice and sadly, based on the bike - we couldn't stop to take photos ...
