    It is COLD!
    I guess this was to be expected. What I didn't expect was my car struggling to start most mornings or needing to scrape the inside of my car windscreen. It is so cold that the inside of my car windscreen freezes. Not the outside - it's generally so cold that you don't need to scrape the outside, just brush the snow off - but the inside does freeze on a fairly regular basis. It's got to the ...

    ... me some time to have a think about future plans however, which has been useful - I've even applied to some UK graduate schemes, but I'm not sure how that will go! Anyway, this was just a quick note. I'm back in the snow. But I'm not going to ruin my nice sunny post with pictures of the snow. That's for next time!     ... Bear in mind it had been months since we had been near real shops, and winter was coming. We visited a First Nations reserve, which was really interesting, and then we visited a huge shopping centre that even had a rollercoaster. Two sides of Canadian culture...

    On Wednesday we went to a different shopping centre before the training started that evening. We had a mingle event, then were taken for poutine and ice skating. It was fun, if not cold!

    ... to our house which we hadn't been to before. We only discovered it recently, and hadn't had the chance to go before. Martin didn't feel too good (might have had something to do with the Tequila!) so we headed home fairly early.
