Our captain tried several times to make a safe docking in Saguenay, but the winds were too strong. We were all very disappointed but safety comes first. So, we had a day at sea, retracing our path back out of the River Saguenay to rejoin the St. Lawrence seaway.     Because the weather was so foul (high winds, roily seas), the outdoor walking decks were closed.  Some passengers enjoyed a movie ...

The next day, we drove to Quebec city and stayed there two nights. Our free-of-driving day was spent touring old Quebec. Old Quebec is one of the two last standing walled cities in all ...

Day 1: we say au revoir to Quebec City and head for our next stop. My beloved wants to see the blue whales up at Tadoussac so we get back into the Sonata and head up for a 4 hour drive. The ride up includes taking the car across the river in a ferry. The weather changes when we leave Quebec City and as we step out of the car to stretch on the ferry we need to wear our fleeces.

We cross the river into the small quiet seaside town of Tadoussac. We get to our hotel but we ...
