We started out at 6:25 AM this morning and a couple of hours into our trip we came upon a pod of beluga whales. They were swimming up the river so we stopped our engine as they got closer. Paul go some great pictures on his camera. We watched them for about 15 minutes. Two of them swam about 3 feet deep under our swim platform. Thank goodness we were not going that way. Next stop - the Vet to pick up little Chester and rest in our own ...

No trip to Bonaventure would be complete without a stop at the family farm for baked goods and specialty items. We took our time on the way back, stopping along the way to enjoy the local towns. An ice cream cone in one town, a cool drink in another and ...

... wonder of nature for yourself.

At its narrowest point, at Québec City, the river is less than a kilometre (0.6 mi.) wide. At the estuary, its width ranges from 65 km (40 mi.) to 100 km (62 mi.) at the Gulf of St. Lawrence it is more than 300 km (186 mi.) wide. It is one of the longest rivers on the planet. From its source, in the Great Lakes, to its ...
