... in. The old town is surrounded by a canal and is very cute with old style, low rise buildings, lots of lanterns hanging and boats moving slowly round. Our walking was at a slow pace as it is so picturesque! ... and then promptly realised we had lost Gordon who had been dancing along with his earphones in! Eventually we got hold of him and we all went into the actual garden which was very impressive. There were lakes and ornate bridges and manicured plants. It was very busy but we kept stopping for photos and the Chinese tourist enjoyed taking them of us too! ... little side tours of interesting places where they hope you will spend your money. In this case they wanted us to buy fancy silk quilts. No one in our group bought one. So we continued through the shop, past the silk clothing, bags, etc. and an argument broke out between some of the tourists and the guide, presumably about being dragged off the canal to go shopping.
