From the first day we heard about family stay, we were all so nervous and scared, we just thought what have we got ourselves into! From the first day we arrived we had this warm feeling that took all that negative thoughts we had away. I was so socked of how sweet, kind and generous Chinese people were, wish all Australian people were like this! *Face with tears of joy*

We were very thankful of our 'late' start this morning. For the first time I actually woke to my my alarm, much better than stirring at 5.30! It was an hour and a half drive then to our hotel in Suzhou. It was located down a narrow, crowded (aren't they all) street with lots of shops selling jade. It took a little while settling in - discovering breakfast wasn't to be supplied (a few phone calls should hopefully sort it out) - and then Greg and ...

... to my parents house on the lake and relaxed there for a few days. I visited friends in Kamloops for a few days as well. It’s kind of weird now that my parents have moved full time up to the lake and Kamloops is not home anymore, just a place to visit. It’s still a good place to be in the summer though. The weather was great while I was there. Then my parents and I went to Alberta and visited my niece in Edmonton for her birthday. She’s six! She’s also tall, ...
