... lake. Supposedly, government sites in Alaska are less good than those in Canada. If this one is an example, it is excellent - pit toilets, (that are pumped out); bear proof bins for travelers' food; take your rubbish out with you; all really clean and tidy; lovely large individual sites among the trees, all with fire pits and picnic tables; all for $15 a night. Some even have a "camp host". A cheaper alternative than an RV park for us when we do not need power, water ...

Quickly we get into the swing of travel. Our patterns already established, the kids were in the pool shortly after breakfast. ... revisit some places from the other trips but will also meet up with Breen (we met him on our second trip) in Nicaragua and spend time with him on Little Corn Island. Some Alaskan friends will be in Placencia, Belize, so we will rendezvous with them also. Our plans include Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador this time, but since we never follow a plan very well, that will likely change. Check back to see how the adventure is going..........

The morning greeted us to beautiful weather. We passed some amazing lakes reflecting the mountains and clouds. Along the drive, we came across the Sourdough Roadhouse which we had read about. The lady there makes all the baked goods herself. Because she had so many different pies and we couldn't make up our minds, we had to get a slice of each! ...
