... trees into logs and burning the brush. Maggie was unperturbed by the flames and we padded on, switching back again and again in the narrow path. Elegant curved wood gates allowed us through into increasingly iddilic pathways. Suddenly a turn left gave us the opportunity to loop back to the Port and led right passed the most beautiful property I'd seen. ... elegant hotels and patio gardens frothing with greenery, arbors and fluffy air plants in hanging baskets. I finished my sandwich and headed for Soller...my feet now stiff and leaden. Soller carnival was a splash of colour and I was delighted to spot the children from Port Soller dressed as gambas (prawns)! Reluctantly I walked again, picking my way out of town and heading to the port. I was rewarded by the most amazing view back to the mountains ...

... tea and coffee before heading out. One day Ben scoped out the climbing routes on the rocks. We knew that in order to get onto the rock wall to climb up, you'd have to find a way down...this meant that Ben would have to downclimb, enter the water and swim to where he wanted to climb up.

... his white dinner jacket, black trousers, black shirt and white bow tie. Our team performed admirably in the syndicate quiz finishing 1st equal on 17 points. However we lost out on the tie-break. The question was "How long was the Hundred Years' War"? There were 3 teams in the tiebreak. We thought 113 years and the other 2 teams went for 65 and 114 years. The correct answer was 116 so we were close but not close ...
