I willed myself not to think about death/casualty statistics, and tried to lose myself in a thumping playlist of Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and Beyonce as the bus obstinately heaved itself upwards into The Cordillera. Hey, we did survive the World's Most Dangerous road in Bolivia, coming pretty close to disaster, so... this should be a piece of cake, right?
