... We finished dinner with the dessert sampler - tiramisu, cheesecake, apple tart and chocolate cake. And, of course, wine and sparkling water to wash it all down. An excellent meal, and we're so glad we went back. It is now after midnight and we are ready for bed. Tomorrow we head to Rome, but hopefully we can do a few things in the morning. Florence has been amazing so far, and there is still so much more to see, but not nearly enough time to do everything! Until ...

(PS again the wifi is an issue so I'm not sure when this will be ...

We later met our local guide - the best we encountered. She was interesting, very informative and full of passion and personal stories (like she was baptised in the Baptistry and proud of it). The tour included the religious and political stand outs like the Duomo and Baptistry (love those gold doors), the ...

... exactly where to stand up and insist on being let out, so that the autopilot deposit at the Cellai camp ground would not happen again!

Because we needed the following Monday to help Gobind get rid of the remnants of her jet lag, we stayed in San Michele for the day 3 of her visit--Gobind painted most of the day and I caught up on various projects of my own. So I include our photos from both days. Will put comments on any photos of particular note.

    Ciao!
