Liebe Menschen,
Bis dahin: Keep on rockin´

... It's pretty picture perfect.
Vintgar Gorge is about 4km away from Bled in a National Park. Over 100 years ago, two locals built a 2km boardwalk around and across the gorge. It’s a beautiful, peaceful walk that was a nice antidote to all of the cities we’ve been visiting. Bled and Vintgar show off the real Slovenia – outdoorsy, rustic and beautiful.

Well woke up to torrential rain and it looked just like the lake district cold and damp we did try and manage to go out for a little while as we needed to get some laundry sorted and stuff but it was just to wet. We managed to get to use the internet and have a drink of really fit hot chocolate it was just chocolate melted down with lots and lots of whipped cream on the top we did not do much this day really as the weather was a wash out I managed to get ...
Bled, Slovenia traceybelleI was sorry to leave Opatija because the hotel was so lush but move on we had to I was also excited that we where going to another country as we had spent so much time in Croatia. Felt bad that we had not even tried the food or gone out properly but I am still recovering from my fall and needed to rest as much as possible. So we got the bus to Rijeka and by some stroke of luck I asked a woman on the bus where the train ...
Bled, Slovenia traceybelle... had gone to last night was rated second in the town! We figured since we were on to a good thing and it was so close, may as well stick with it!
We got there at about 8:30pm and so it was still a bit busy and we had to wait a few minutes for a table, but they got us seated very quickly. Once again we experienced great service and fantastic food at a reasonable price. No complaints at all! And the best part was that once we were full of food, beer and wine, we only had about ...
The last few days have gone by so quickly! Lake Bled in Slovenia was spectacular and definitely lived up to all that we had heard. There was a church called the Church of the Assumption on a little island right in the middle of the lake, and a castle perched high up in the hills. A lot of people had taken gondola rides or were rowing boats themselves across the lake when we arrived right at sunset ...
Bled, Slovenia armajor7... The salad came with loads of bacon (and bacon grease), which we thought was typical for Rikli food. The food itself was not actually all that great, but it was fun to eat there anyway. When the staff found out we were Rikli's they called the manager and we all got free deserts. We all got our famous cake from Bled and proceeded to have a contest to see who could take the best picture of the cake. (Each person thinks that they won). From the ...

It's a really wonderful and well organised festival with awesome live bands, great street theater, stalls of all kinds and lively atmoshere. The whole city - families, youth and pensioners - all get out together for a huge, fun party! I had conistent ...
Klagenfurt, Austria showme... all the lakes are big ice skating rinks because the days have been quite quite sunny and warm and we even swam in Lake Bohinj the other day! We left Dubrovnik on an early morning flight to Zagreb last Wednesday and then spent a few hours wandering around Croatia's capital until jumping on a train to Slovenia. Passed through Ljubljana (that's the capital of Slovenia - my European geography is on fire!!) and then up to the mountains ...
