We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains. The campsite was full of Dutch teenagers making the most of the activities on offer on the raging river running past the campsite. A great couple of nights enjoying the surroundings, even with some traditional Slovenian music thrown in as we ate dinner on the last ...

We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. Tom had explained that there are two paths we could take to get to this lookout point and that one was about 25 minutes up a really steep hill with fallen trees due to a recent heavy rainstorm and the other path being about 45 minutes going around the mountain to get to the top. We were trying to find the latter of the two, but it was obvious quite early ...

After a memorable breakfast we bid farewell to Familie Rieder and get on the road.

Mick got a strange text on his phone just now. "Hi if this is Bobby just letting you know Nellie died. She was cremated Friday."We know we shouldn't but we really had to laugh! Commiserations to Bobby and Nellie, whoever the hell you are.
