... location(heavy snow etc). The museum also showed the various ways people survived for example by harvesting the product of silk worms. Once I'd had a good look around the museum I headed to the station and caught the train to Kyoto. Arriving at 4.45 it was already getting dark so I sorted out the hostel and got some food from a very nice place that served me noodles and seafood on a hot plate on the table. I'm proud to say my chopstick skills are improving ...

Breakfast at 8am,again sitting around trays on the floor. Heaps better than dinner. Opted for the western set which was orange juice, lots of nice coffee, fried egg ( gave the bacon a miss as fatty & also the salad) with hot toast, bread and brioche. Hit the spot perfectly. Good start to the day and as a bonus also able to go which was a relief! 9am shuttle into town. A bit rainy unfortunately. Market Saki tasting (150¥ each for the cup). Tried all of them. Bought a miniature ...

My day started extra early today as I decided to take some sunrise photos. I was up, dressed and outside at 5.30am.

When I had finished and returned to the room I had to wait an hour for everyone else to wake up so we could have breakfast.

After a nice breakfast at the hotel we caught the shuttle bus into town.

We started off by going to the morning markets. There were lots of strange looking ...
