... have known it would take long with that comment. Several calls and almost two hours later, we were picked up by a young Greek guy.
When we told him we were from Texas, he said "oh, I am scared of you now" and made the universal sign for gun shooting! Then, as he drove us out of the harbor town of Parikia, he told us he had been in a motorcycle accident a few years back and had been in a coma. His eye was still messed up and he had to go to the hospital ...

... After signing away any rights to suing for liability…eek…Inaki figured out what sizes we needed for our equipment and we put our wet suits half on. Then came the dry land lesson. He was very good and explained everything to us…and there was a lot to explain. From how to inflate and deflate the vest, to hand signals, to how to find your respirator if it falls out of your mouth and most importantly, how to equalize the pressure in your ears and sinuses.

... If so, we were off to a good start.

Our first night on the island was definitely more exciting than the afternoon. I'm not really a fan of partying at the best of times, but had promised some of the girls in our group that I would definitely come out with them during our time on the island. Mykonos does have a world famous reputation for being a party island after all. True to my word, my Friday night was spent dancing and drinking on the deck overlooking ...
