... on Friday, so we took the train at 10am to Munich, Germany and then to Salzburg. When we got to the city, we headed to the "Old Town" area, which is full of adorable shops and restaurants. ... a free souvenir magnet after our tasting!

On our way back to the train station, we stopped by Mirabell Palace and gardens. The gardens were intricately detailed with patterns among the florals. I enjoyed admiring the statues that lined the garden and picturing scenes from the Sound of Music, which had certain scenes filmed here. We boarded the train back to Munich to ensure we arrived with plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and board our sleeper train for our next stop...

Another day on the road - and the rails!

We started off the morning packing up in Italy, and headed out for the bus to Vallich, connecting to a train to Salzburg.
