... fear and paranoia did get the walls built and like today assisted in draining resources the city-government- could have used else where. Like widening the streets. We're driving a small VW van but the roads and alleys of Hania are tight. Sometimes people have to move patio furniture to proceed. ... Rome to the Greek Islands of Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, then Athens and Olympia, as well as Kusadasi, Turkey where the famous ruins of Ephesus are located. Turkey is as far east as we would travel, and the farthest east Blake, Rob, and I have ever traveled. Turkey is also considered a part of the Asian continent so we can officially say we've been to 3 continents: North America, Europe, and Asia. Only 4 more to go!! ;)
