Year 2, Day 127 - Today we drove the backroads from Tifton where our campground was and we sort of stumbled across the "capture site" of Jefferson Davis (and his party as they fled Richmond). This museum (built in 1939) is run by the county and is a bit remote, but it has a great amount of memorabilia to be viewed and it was quite nice. Along with the story of Jefferson Davis, the museum now includes artifacts from the ...

Today we spent the morning in Six Flags over Georgia theme park! It was a brilliant place, with loads of thrill rides to enjoy :-) our favourite has to be Goliath, it was about 200ft high, and although it didn't go upside down, it was really really good fun! We also went on our first ever stand-up rollercoaster (yes you really did stand up the whole way around!). It was so ...

As with most towns we visit, we looked for a possible church to visit. We just could not find one that we really wanted to attend for Easter. Because this campground has a chapel, we decided we would go to the Sunday morning service here.

The chapel is a sweet little country church. There is a lady sitting at an electric keyboard that ...

... planning to go full time, at least not yet.

Since today is St. Patrick's day, I made corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot. Mike and Alma Ellerbrock came back to "G/G" with us for dinner. It turned out very good and there was just enough for the four of us without stuffing ourselves. Crock Pots and RVs go well together.

As it turned out, the South Texas Renegades are well represented at this rally. Besides us and the Ellerbrocks, we learned there are ...

... all around, we knew we had made the right decision. We were supposed to be meeting up with Mike & Alma Ellerbrock from our RV group at home, but they were not there yet. We decided we would make a trip to Walmart so off we went.

After getting what we needed at Walmart I called Alma to see where they were. They were parked in the Holding Area awaiting their permanent parking spot. I told them we would be coming ...
