We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... off at Piraeus. Time check. 17:05. Oh my. Still undecided, I made my way to the Blue Star Ferry office to confirm there really is a boat to Naxos at 17:30. Yep. Can I still get on. Yep. ... one of the waiters who sat upstairs in the back of the pool deck, I had a great view of the pool and also the port of Corfu. I was aloud to order anything from the grill, so not having had a burger in god knows how long, I ordered a Silver Sea Classic Burger with Blue Cheese and oh my god it was amazing, washed down with a nice cold coke, I actually got a taster of what it felt to be a guest on board :) Anyway, I have to go now, I have more laundry going! ... a little finger of land that jutted into the harbor. The church contained several ancient icon paintings of St. George slaying the dragon. Once again, photos were not allowed within the church. It seems to be common theme throughout Europe. Almost immediately as we left the church the rain began again.
