Corfu was surprisingly warm today, around the mid 70s, which was warm enough for us to spend some time at the Aqualand water park. I've never been to a larger water park and we make is just in time before they closed for the winter. Me and my buddies played around until it began to get cool towards the late afternoon.
This morning we visited the ...
... and not at all a balcony. Hence needing help climbing.
And then. There are all those people that just annoy the **** out of me. I'm telling you what, "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." is crossing my mind about 20 times a day. It's like everybody wants to be the first one on the bus, the first one off the bus, the first one in the buffet line, the first one in the signup line, the first one... you get the picture. I keep ...
... seeing and pick up the clean clothes on the way home – the laundry he took us to was closed so it looked like we would smell until the end of the cruise. He dropped us at the Acropolis - it was very hot, crowded and commercialised. However a nostalgic moment happened for Chris as he remembered sitting on the steps of the Pantheon when he was five years old, hence was disappointed that it was all now roped off and so much of it was covered in ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... Dave realised he'd forgotten his wallet and wanted to buy drinks or something (we was already soooo drunk) and so he went back down to the boat to get it and didn't come back for like 20 minutes and so we started getting a bit worried that he'd falling into the water and was drowning or something (although not worried enough to get up and check....). And like 25 minutes later he eventually came back, stormed over to the table and was like "WHAT THE HELL GUYS? WHY DID ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece t_lee... middle of the sea before sailing without the motor on (very cool, all sitting on the side of the boat to get a good angle to catch the wind) and docked in Corfu for the evening. Had an amazing dinner at this little taverna (where we docked had this one taverna and a jetty and that was it) where we had real calamari and chips and bottomless bowls of Greek Salad (I know you'd expect it to be good cause we were in Greece but the salads seriously exceeded all ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece t_lee... they spend a lot of time relaxing, because they live on an island. I have only one dislike. The water was too cold and dirty for my taste, but there are a lot of swimming pools around, so I didn't need to swim in the open. This journey was a fun journey and I will never forget it.
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece indianabones... being a ****ing hero (revealed to be a fraud several days later) for waking up and signing us up for the booze cruise
Cliffjumping
-Smitty buckling his nuts in his naked jump (you could hear the slapping sound from the boat). He wondered why all the guys were grabbing their nuts while jumping ("Stop being ******* bys")
-Callahan's near-death experience with the climb up followed by displaying impeccable form in the jump

... me a couple of hours to reach the foot of it, then roughly another 4 or more to scale it. It was unreal, the road just kept zig-zagging up and up. I thought the top was never gonna come. As with mountainous weather, iºve heard it can change fairly quickly, and it did. A few Kms from the top an icy wind bought rain. I was exhausted, cold, and wet. When I stopped for biscuits and bananas my wet gloves turned almost freezing and I had trouble closing my pannier bags. Worried about ...
Dassia, Greece goldenbez... bolted onto it. The red steel structure, replete with satellite dishes and barbed wire compounds with 'Keep out' signs stands at least ten times the height of the monastery.
One would have thought that priests would have managed to negotiate a fair deal to have allowed the positioning of the mast, however, the compound looks in dire need of money. The monastery itself is a smallish building, the top half of which is undergoing complete redevelopment. It looks ...
