Well we made it to Santiago. The last day in was one to remember as we knew that it wasn´t a long walk only 20 kms and of course it was our last day. ... then smell its aroma before putting it in your mouth. When you started to chew the leaf it felt like you were eating a leaf for a couple of seconds then it felt like you had an oyster in your mouth. The same taste, smell and texture. It was unbelievable.

It would be impossible to detail the sensory experiences we had during this meal and my descriptions would not do this tasting menu justice so I will just list what we had.

... as it turned out, it wasn't bad at all. With the 3 boxes of cracker stuff from Victoria, some waters, and mentos, we busied ourselves emptying the bag in less than 1/2 hours. Luckily for us, there was a food-trolley lady, who was going up and down the aisles the full time we were on the train.... so we ate her nibbles, and drinks,as well.
