... of people. We pulled into the city center and before long we had found a hotel and were nicely settled. We were done. To top off our awesome efforts, we were greeted by a cat at the hotel! A real, living one! So cute! And warm and fluffy and purring away... Starsky and Hutch we miss you! Now that we have conquered our mission, we are officially hardcore. We can even lift our bikes triumphantly over our heads - just like that straw ...

The city reminds me of Miami on picturesque cliffs (I've never been to Miami but I've seen pictures), The view of the Mediterranean is life-changing (and absolutely terrifying as someone who's afraid of water).

It DOES help that we're staying at the most incredible hotel ever built; it hang's off the ...

Then we went to open our wine and we hit a stumbling block… it had a cork… the scissors and spoon were no use here, we even tried to dig it out with tweezers but the plastic cork would not budge. We were allowed to drink wine on the beach and we were not going to be beaten by a cork, so off we set to the store we bought it from to ask them to open it. But not far from the beach we found a liquor store, so Tiffany ...

... value French cuisine in Nice so we thought we'd give it a try.
Wow, what a meal. We had a 6 course dinner which included some incredible dishes. The menu ranged from seafood to beef and finally two deserts. All washed down with a local wine. It was simply delicious.
We leave Nice tomorrow to move on to Avignon. We would like to come back to Nice one day to immerse ourselves in the area a little more thoroughly, but unfortunately we must leave.
