Chenoneau is also historically significant being donated by Henry II to his favourite woman. It played an important role in both WWI and WWII - in WWI as a field hospital and WWII was the line of demarcation between the Nazi occupied and unoccupied zones of ...

A quiet morning before checking out of the hotel. Anne has now mastered the GPS and after our convoluted journey on Sunday decide to get to Loche as quickly as we can. Our journey is mostly on toll roads which cost us nearly 20 euros but we arrive in 4 hours which makes it all worthwhile. Loches is a beautiful little town with tiny narrow streets. ...
