... was helpful in recommending walks. The weather was perfect so we had an afternoon walk up to the ridge behind the camp. The following day we drove to Ustrzyki Gorne, parked and walked up to Mount Tarnica ,the highest peak in the area. Our fist night on a sleeper train ended up being a tad more eventful than it had first seemed. At midnight, we experienced our first proper border crossing and the first change of gauge for the train. As we were leaving Poland, the conductor started shouting something in either Ukrainian or Russian (they seem to be almost interchangeable in Kiev) and the train stopped at a small station. Then about 4-5 guys dressed in military type ...
... Not too large to be impossible and sufficient culture to keep everone happy for a couple of days. The only downside is getting here. I am not cetain there are direct flights from the UK and guess you would need to change at Kiev or Warsaw.

... the fire engine is ancient but it got there. Ended up in the main street area which was full of people the reason being that they were celebration their forefathers. What a parade they put on for us marching, dancing and singing we were so lucky to be here when something was on. Spent an hour or 2 in a pub had a few beers and a cheese platter check the photo.
