    ... surrounds this monastery; we walked through narrow alleyways flanked by more whitewashed houses - but of quite different architecture to those on Santorini. Murray and I opted to walk back down to the village of Skala, the walkway was built from stones - like cobbles but very undulating - we had to watch every step - it was still worth the walk though. Rain set in during the late afternoon, hopefully it will be all over ...

    ... us. WOW!!! I'm not sure how our guide is going to make this work. I am accustomed to traveling with groups half this size. Dinner was a buffet of Greek foods. I quickly found I am familiar with Americanized Greek food...their cheeses are very pungent, everything is green with olive oil. Students already asking where the ranch dressing is.....
