... which serves its drinks out of teapots!!! Yes, you did read that correctly, teapots!! It was full of people on the dance floor drinking out of the spouts!!!! This was followed by the best burger shop in the WORLD! FergBurger is home to the biggest and weirdest burgers you can imagine. They had cool names like 'Cock-a-doodle Oink' (Chicken and bacon burger). The problem came when you tried to eat it. They were sooooo huge that for once, you didnt need chips to ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand robeckie... a bridge (bungee attached!) Queenstown also offers an optional big (make that huge) night out with excellent restaurants, pubs and live music. Centrally located accommodation tonight.
Spend an extra day in Queenstown
Today is yours to explore. Options include: sleeping in and doing nothing, great local walks, skiing or snowboarding at one of the many local ski fields, and any adventure activity that we mad Kiwis can dream up. Obviously ...
... way they collapsed realising the pointlessness of it all. It is a very steep street in fairness but the pictures don't really do it justice. With that done we were on the road again. During the drive to Lake Tekapo we didn't really see much because the weather was so bad, at one point our bus driver assured us we were driving right by the highest mountain in NZ, Mt. Cook. All we could see were rain clouds unfortunately ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand alandrach... when suddenly we turned the corner around a bush and I accidentally trod on the flipper of a sealion lying there. It went mental and jumped up and roared at us with its big red mouth wide open, we had such a shock and were terrified and legged it out of there. A bit too much of a close encounter with wildlife!!! Whilst down there we also got very close to Yellow Eyed Penguins nesting in the cliffs on a beach - they are only found in NZ, and are the rarest penguins in the world. We ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand damosarah... Africa and South East Asia very strongly, but I was limited by the perception that it had to be one or the other, so I was a little bit disappointed thinking that God had not spoken to me. But when they announced the destinations that afternoon and said there was an Africa/South East Asia team, everything God had been speaking to me became so clear. We then had 3 days to pray about it and submit our top 3 choices. I asked God to confirm it and felt like He did in a ...
Oxford, South Island, New Zealand erincastillo... winding between the mountains. This lake is 84 km long but is only 5 km wide. It was dug by glaciers many thousands of years ago. It is also quite deep at a maximum depth of 399 meters (that is over 1300 ft deep)! It was drizzling rain, but the views were still worth the trip to the top. I went on in to the snack bar and had some lunch and checked out the gift shop. While at the top, I also looked at some of the extreme activities you could participate ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand pecten56... expéditions en Antarctique. Coeurs sensibles s'abstenir. Eh eh, j'ai fait deux tours... Vous aimez les musées ? Ce qui me fait toujours capoter ...

Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand nadinekarl... back to the hotel, and, er, well, I only really intended to have a glass of two, but sort of ended up drinking the whole thing while facebooking, texting and dancing around the room to my iTunes cackling like a banshee. Then I realised I was hungry, probably because it was 10pm and I hadn't eaten since the McCafe deli sandwich, so went out in search of food, and somehow, inexplicably came back with no food but another bottle of wine. Again, not sure how it happened. Fortunately, the ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand suzloua... vernoemd.
