    ... decided to sit elsewhere. The carrier is pretty empty anyway so it's no big deal. They appear to have chosen to take a non 'window' seat anyway next to a partition.

    Our engine upfront is a proper diesel train, like the ones in Russia, and like the one in that film unstoppable, the sort we don't use in England - maybe that's why rail travel is so expensive, although now I think perhaps it's to pay all those handsomely paid train drivers who earn an absolute mint! ...

    ... were lolling around (probably waiting for the tourists to feed them too).

    However, other than rat-watching, cat-watching and shopping for headscarves, there's not an awful lot else to do in Kota Bharu other than catch the nightbus on to more exciting destinations. We amused ourselves with trying on each others glasses upside down, until the bus arrived and I promptly fell asleep until we arrived in the much more bustling metropolis of Kuala Lumpur ...

    ... out to be all of two stalls but we got some bracelets for the souvenir bag. After this we headed to the mall and went to the supermarket to buy some food for our long 9 hour bus journey tomorrow and some razors as they are cheaper here than in Thailand.

    We also saw the lovely land mark clock tower which appears to be the only thing to see here! That was about all we did today we stayed in the nice cool room in the afternoon and sorted out some more photos.
