    ... a meal soon after take-off. Of course I wasn't able to pre-order a vegetarian meal and when my choice was Roast Chicken or Beef I asked if they had a spare Vegetarian meal. I was pretty smartly told that all the pre-ordered Vegie meals had been allocated. When I mentioned that I was on Standby (which meant staff) the attendant could not have been more accommodating.     ... of toothpaste! Through with out any more issues and on to the plane. I had a great seat, first row on the window. It is the A380 so nice and newish and well fitted out. Of course not having a booking I had no opportunity to pre-order a vegetarian meal but that was no issue as the food choices were great.     ... to the Canal area. Wow, there are some nice places down there. The tide was out so it smelt a little, but I reckon I could probably live there. Don't know what it would be like on a rainy day though.
