How did I get here? How did I get this lucky? I spent all this money to have this trip but it just as easily could have been a bust. Instead, it ended up changing my life, and connecting me to the world in a way I never expected. I'm incredibly sad to leave here, but it makes me happy to know how sad I really am. Today is the day. I have been waiting for this since I looked at the application over a year and a half ago. This is the day I start my journey by flying from O'Hare to Heathrow. London will become my home for the next three months. To say i'm excited would be putting it lightly; I am beyond ecstatic. Although my flight departs in the evening, I am doing my best to stay up all night in an attempt to beat jet-lag once I arrive ...
... our goodbyes and drove around town. We were able to leave flyers at a few different businesses, but for the most part, we didn't have much luck because the stores were all large chain stores. We grabbed lunch from Culver's (they had a big circus poster in their window...woohoo!) and treated ourselves to their pumpkin shake (SOOOOO good) and went back to our campsite in Volo.

Our sponsor for tomorrow wasn't able to put together anything (not for lack of trying, just no interest, unfortunately) so we're probably going to stay at one more RV park and then treat tomorrow as a lot & license. Fortunately, we have a place to stay Wednesday and Thursday night and I guess this weekend we'll be Walmart camping to save money. :) At least it should be cooler out by then....

Kids can also be brought to the rock climbing walls, play indoor sports, or enjoy the indoor water park in Timber Ridge.
