      After a nice hostel breakfast which included scrambled eggs and bacon (great chocolate croissants are wearing thin now) we went off to explore Florence with our first stop being the Ponte Vecchio ie. the bridge with all the jewellery shops. The bridge has jewellery shops running it's entire length on both sides apart from a small archway in the middle.       ... the baptistry and then listened to Rick Steves' Audio Tour that led us down a street which name I can't remember. Luck us, we got caught at the edge of a May 1st parade. It had flag people that were throwing their flags in the air and doing cool moves. Then we looked at an old church and walked and walked and walked some more. I don't know what else to tell you.
