    We went way overtime, and had a brief tour of San Gimignano after dark, which was notable for its towers, a really surprising art exhibition which I got a bit lost in (literally) on the way back to the car, and a sample of a world champion gelato.     ... the best thing was the view that the fort gave. its on a hill above the city so you could see the entire city of Florence! so beautiful! the fort was one for the Medici family as an escape from the city, and Kim Kardasian did have her wedding here. on the walk back to the city API treated us to gelato! yummy! i then got some more authentic italian pizza with a few friends, and went back to their apartment to plan some more ...
