We woke up early and the forecast was for mid 80s and 50% chance of rain later in the morning but we decided to take our chances and stick with our plans to go to Letchworth State Park. I was aiming for the Castille Entrance but we ended up at the Portageville entrance just before 9. Gotta love that GPS. We passed a couple of Amish men in a wagon a few miles before the park. I didn't realize there were Amish in NY. First we stopped at the lot above the railroad ...

    Bob's Recap

Another favorite memory of mine from Italy, that illustrates this different perception of how food should be enjoyed, was the restaurant we went to for lunch in Manorola. ... admitted the scenery. Several times we carefully went past the danger signs to get that angle for the best view. One slip and one or both of us would slide off the edge to the unknown far below. Making it back to the cabin for lunch, we relaxed for a bit. I took a little hike down a trail overlooking the opposite side of the river we had seen earlier. On this hike I photographed many different types of mushrooms that ...

    Day 3 The Maiden Voyage

Day 3 was a transition day for us where we planned one additional Niagara attraction then off on our journey. Boy did we save a good one for the end. Dodging fellow humans for two days in an attempt to experience the wonders of nature seems like a contradiction to me. So, I was surprised when we took a boat to the base of the falls I didn't mind the others on the boat vying for prime positioning. Alex and I found our ...
