Once we got to the first pony gate it was only about a quarter of a mile further before we ran into our first pony pack! Grace, who promised she wouldn't freak out, got so excited that she squealed so hard and almost punched me when she saw her first pony. Needless to say I was startled and was relived it was just a pony! They were so sweet. Some were skiddish and others were super friendly. They came right up to us. # 1 Matt leaned down ...

... fill up today. Where there was 10 of us for 3 days now we have over 40 campers enjoying the very nice campground. We have found Virginia State Parks and campgrounds to be very nice. Probably the nicest we have seen.

Well Saturday takes over to Asheville for 6 nights. I plan on playing some pickleball Monday, can't wait. We are making our way home but enjoying the last month of seeing the country.

... west viginia through picturesque farmland and we stopped off at a surprise - a local had made an exact replica of Stonehenge made out of polystyrene foam - foamhenge. One of the perks of doing a trek is the little locally known things that I wouldn't have known about if I was treking alone :) We then arrived at our next campsite - adventures at the gorge. Here we went whitewater rafting! 2 hours of watery fun! One point our instructor told us we could jump out and swim ...

... ramble in the countryside followed by a HUGE climb up a mountainside. We all made it and had a nice second breakfast stop in Meadowview. Ahhh... What a pleasant repast that was. The remainder of the day's 50 + miles were less exciting but nice...being able to view the historical markers that related the local history of the American ...
