My last two days in Tenerife

... and olive oil, battered fish for my second course and some rice pudding for dessert. The drinks and food were so good I really didn't want to stop eating, and I got to really connect with my friends at my table which was nice because many of them were from Session A and hadn't spoken to me much. Dinners have been sketchy here, very hit or miss to say the least, but I can honestly say that our coordinators did a good job of making it up to us tonight. Props to them for making it ...

    Gynecology

... Marc and Sergio didn't show up for class today, so Ashley and I got to leave the hospital early. We went to SuperDino to get some snacks and then ran back to the residencia. I don't know why I've been so tired today, but I had two coffees before seminar and I still almost fell asleep. The good news is that as soon as I get back, I'll be keeping myself busy with class and MCAT studying, so I won't ...

... papers is one of chance as the local hotels often sell out to their own early riser customers.
Having feed our minds and bodies it was time to explore before the heat of the day hit the low 30' degree. Hopping onto a local bus we headed north for about an hour; the coastline is fascinating following the ups and downs of the steep foothills, crossing huge deep dry gullies carved over centuries by torrential waters. The journey tends to zigzag to ...

... trip, and since it's been awhile since any of us have had semi-American food, we all dug in.

The next morning, we went on a hike in a northern part of the island called Teno--a mountainous region. Since we were at such a high elevation, the vegetation was very similar to that of deserts--all kinds of cactus and weird flowers/shrubs that only grow in places where water is in short supply. The views from the trail were totally amazing; we were right on the edge of the ...
