Stayed around the campsite throughout the morning reading

Note from Val: Today we took a guided tour into the mountains east of the town of Obergurgl (up the Gaisbergferner glacier valley) to search for garnets. We were well equipped for the task, with our hammer and chisel borrowed from our hotel. But once you put your hand up and say "cheque please", they are right there and stay there until you pay. Austria seems very laid back and friendly. There is lots of time and no pressure.
