... reason for the abnormally early start.

From the outset Jochen has said that he wanted two clear days in Istanbul and when I pointed out last night at Ordu that we could be there on Saturday afternoon and stay until Tuesday morning there was no stopping him. We took 385 of the 555 miles out of the equation today and will head on into the big city tomorrow.

So1 i thought I would be clever and get up ridiculously early (6:30 AM ) and head straight for the Hamami (bath house) that my new friends had directed me to and shown me how to get there. i left sleeping Thomas a note that he thankfully never saw that said i would be back by 8:30 at the latest. well'''someone pointed to the street going in the opposite direction and a little detour later..2 young helpful women walked me there. What a fun time it was...and I now have 5 new Facebook ...

... made a photo blog anyways, but sometimes I think it's nice to get a little more of the details. So for now, here are some photos, the background story will come...eventually!***

          I won't leave without a quote though!

"If I'd learnt one thing from traveling, it was that the way to get things done was to go ahead & do them. Don't talk about going to Borneo. Book a ticket, get a visa, pack a bag, and it just happens." --Alex Garland

But now, it’s time to head on back to the pleasant, serene routine of daily life. I get on the bus to enjoy one last 5 star service with refreshments and my own little TV screen… ...
