So the last day of our holiday.. we again had breakfast downstairs at the hostel and then packed up all our bags, put on our togs, vacated our rooms and went back to the beach.
We hired more deck chairs and umbrellas and then made ourselves most at home for the day. I think the only time we left the beach was to get ice cream and George and I went for lunch at a tapas place.
I even had a ...
... to have lunch as well... backfire again... the crepes were awful and they ended up charging us €10.20 for some flat, syrupy coke... no one will let me ever choose food places again!
We then walked up to the local cathedral and George and I went inside- it was stunning and had the most beautiful stained glass windows! Katie and Kristy decided to hang around in the shade outside instead (I guess between them they have seen ...
... Kristy had an ensuite bathroom and we had our own private bathroom next door- pretty awesome for a hostel!
We then changed into our togs, grabbed some towels and headed back to the beach. We acted like lucrative travellers and hired deck chairs and umbrellas and then we were away for the rest of the day- napping, reading and swimming- perfectly relaxing day!
After we had had enough of the beach (and were quite ...
... happy because of Black Fish), flamingos, penguins, weird seal/whale things, walruses, sharks, sea horses and sting rays- it was actually a pretty cool place and helped us to fill in our day without accommodation (yes no siesta on this day!)
I also would like to mention that George's drink bottle leaked on her lap in the taxi- looked just like she had ****** her pants... refer to picture... I couldn't resist mate!
After we left the exhibit ...
... despite some poor man hurling up his guts, I managed to keep hold of my lunch - I'm getting quite good at this boat malarky…don't go getting any ideas though Alex!!
As the week drew to a close, we admired our fresh tans (I still can't believe I'm tanned at all…), our sun kissed hair (mine now has a set of 3 corn rows as well as the bleach dye from Thailand), and thought about the next stop on this colossal trip - Rome! Gracias y adios Espana!
