My sister is my hero! She just never stops, and as she keeps moving she pulls me along with her. This morning we left at 5am for a 28km walk to Astorga, our travel book says it should take about 6.5 hours of walking, but of course it took Debbie and I over 10 hours with just a couple of stops. I was whinning and complaining as we were under the …

The two ladies at the church, who had unlocked its doors, we're arranging the most beautiful …

It was a punishing day and we didn't get in until after six, just time for shower, dinner with face falling into the plate for some and then instant sleep - well at least until you get woken in the night with throbbing legs and aching feet. Some talked of not even being able to manage untangling …

What a gorgeous first day on the Camino! We had breakfast at 8 and were on our way at 9 to drive to Foncebadon where we started our walk. Felt a bit guilty as we drove past hundreds of pilgrims walking the Way. Had our first Camino stamps before we had even taken a step on the Way! Had hot chocolate ( in order to use the toilet) before the first …
