So, after a much delayed train ride from the airport...think it took 2hours...we made it to Go Native - the apartments we're staying in for the next few nights. Well the apartment does have space. I'll give it that. And a bath. However there's no aircon so it's pretty stuffy which means you've got keep the window open which means that there's a heck of a lot of noise. Thank goodness I brought earplugs. But it is cheap. So today we did the Tower of London. Did the ...
... 8217;d mentioned to CWL that we had a lot of luggage since we were relocating so to make sure to send something big. But I didn’t realize they’d send a BUS?! Our luggage did end up taking a fair amount of space in its trunk, and then with just the 4 of us on board we headed for our hotel.
First impression of the environs of Paris? Just like California. Traffic on the freeways, trash and weeds on the sides of the freeways. And plenty of graffiti. ...
... held here was the Coronation gold Spoon which is the oldest original piece they still have to this day and it is about 800 years old. Most of the other Royal Jewels were melted down for money during war time. Also there where swords made for the Kings and Queens, dresses that the Queen had worn etc. Then we made our way to the visit the Fusilier Museum which tells the story of a British infantry regiment from its formation at the Tower in 1685 ...
