A travel blog entry by jwatson on Apr 04, 2015

... and it had an amazing view of the area and even Franklin. Mooch and I hung out there for quite some time enjoying the view and sun and taking to other hikers we knew before heading the last about half-mile to the shelter. Smokescreen, it turned out, had pressed on, so the group was sort of inverted from the past few days of hikes, with Mooch and I in the same place with the other guys off on their own. When we reach the Smokey Mountains, Tony is in charge of the car and Robert the music.

With any spectacular scenery it is ...

... looking into the past in this sort of way, simpler times.

On the north boundary is the town of Gatlinburg, a very cool town with an interesting downtown area full of shops. I highly recommend stopping to visit, much moreso than the tourist trap of Pigeon Forge a few miles north, which is full of amusement park type attractions which I imagine are meant to lure in families with children. ...

Menu Item: Ham & Hash brown Omelet

Notes: Came with onions and 3 buttermilk pancakes also

Comments: It was good but not as good as I hoped. There wasn't enough substance to the omelet. The pancakes were just average.

Overall Impression: Below average omelet with average ...
