... Seņora in the seat behind us ( bingo C27! ) began whimpering and crying out. After several visits from United officials It was determined she would need medical attention and needed to be returned to the gate. She was either having a major anxiety attack or possibly just wasn't ready to go home yet...not really sure which. Oh, and by the way we will have to wait a bit while they try and find her luggage stowed away in the cavernous hole of a few hundred ...
Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.
Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... second trail was closed so we continued on with the third trail as it crossed over the second trail. We ended up hiking around 2.75 miles, a little more than we thought but it was good. And, oh, yes, we were in alligator country. We didn't expect to see anything because we were still some distance from the lake. We did, however, walk on some board walks that were on the trail that was built directly over some marshy ...
... though (the one thing I don't miss about real cities) because of a couple accidents, and poorly designed highway systems. The latter is also a reason why my daily commute takes as long as it does. They have not updated the highway to deal with the higher traffic flow, and probably never will. Anyway, the weekend was a lot of fun, and I am excited to see what else Houston has to offer during my time ...
