... ahead as we watched the police, ambulance and finally tow trucks race past and after about 30 minutes we were moving again. ... 9 hours after I had arrived, tired and slightly sunburnt but I didn't really care at that point.

The next day I took it easy and waited for my shuttle to LA, during my wait I met a very interesting man in his 70s who is a retired US marine General who I found out studied at Oxford for his PhD and subsequently went on to have a very interesting life. So yeah really awesome and interesting time in San Diego!

... beginning in 2 hours. Feeling that I had to take part I grabbed a little sleep ad then about 8 of us headed across the border for a night of pure randomness. Our hostel guide took us to a great restaurant/ bar where the host fired us with tequila and beer shots from metres away.
