Tis the night before flight, only 1 creature remain stirring, while the other is with wine and close to his sight blurring. ... all at once I see a sign that said "Construction Ahead". Hummm, what will this bring, I says to meself (No Nellie, meself didn't answer back...jeeze). Any how, it was pretty much construction almost all the next 200 miles or so. Nothing drastic, like driving on the gravel shoulder or nuthin. Just "sit up and drive the durn thang" kinda construction.
Hauling thru horse country is kinda nice. Ya get to see lots of cool fences, ...
... but not at 65. So I looked for a place to eat lunch and found one 10 miles away. Decided to head down the mountain. I sure picked the wrong road. There was a bicycle rally going down my road at the entrance of the park. So 8.4 miles of downhill two lanes winding in the rain with 100 bikers in front of me. ... journey was over. We traveled over 12000km and visited numerous museums, attractions and wonderful vistas it was an amazing adventure.
Maureen and I both enjoyed sharing our trip with all of you, a once in a lifetime event and one we will cherish. We also would like to thank all our hosts on our journey.
