Island in the middle of a Lake: Bled
... but our guide snuck us in and we found out it wasn't just closed because it was an off season but because parts of the bridge was broken!! We walked on broken boards and missing railing for a little bit of the hike along the gorge. All of this combined with it being slippery was really dangerous but no one got hurt and I am so glad we did it!

Summer Toboggan
... off round a few bends. Then had time for a drink at the bottom of the slopes in the crisp sunshine before setting off for the airport.
Stopped briefly on the way at Bled for a last wander round the lake and a last bit of cake! Once we reached the airport we had a little picnic on the grass outside, where I'm sure I saw a rat/vole thing, before checking in and jetting home.

Mountain Hike
... and an avalanche caused over a hundred of them to lose their lives. The chapel is a memorial to them.
We then headed back down and with tummies rumbling, walked through town and ended up with a takeaway pizza!! (There really isnt a lot of other choice when eating out here it seems!) But we were able to take it back and munch it sat on our balcony, all wrapped up with a very satisfying view and sunset.

Kranjska Gora Hike
Woke up this morning exciting to go rafting and headed to Bohinj but unfortunately, due to the large amount of rain the last couple of days, the water levels were too high and dangerous. But it was such a beautiful and sunny day so we decided to do a big hike instead and set off in the car to a different area of the Triglav National Park.
On reaching our destination of Kranjska Gora we were delighted! A stunning drive to get there ...
Bled and Bohinj
... so followed those and turned up at Slap Savica. Here we drank from 'the source of life' at the bottom of the waterfall trail before climbing up it in a lovely forested walk. We eventually came out at the viewpoint for the waterfall where we took in the sights before hiking back down.
Next was a walk through some very quiet and natural forest land looking for bears. Unfortunately we got stuck trying to cross the river ...
