Woke up at 6,30am not sure where we are as we are just moving very slowly could be we are waiting to go through another lock or for a berthing slot in Breisach as the itinerary said we'd arrive in the early hours. ... torch for midnight excursions.. We decided to have an evening meal in the restaurant. Mine host, in his black chef's jacket this time provided us with a nice green salad as entree, followed by a pancake stuffed with spargel --white asparagus-- with a cheese sauce. ... pirate - tattoos and all. When he spotted me looking at him, he made a sign I didn't recognize, but that seemed to carry with it some kind of omen. I can be sure that it wasn't meant in friendship, as the sign was accompanied by what I took to be a stream of invective.
