You can tell you are back in Austria when the quality of roads greatly improves and the price of everything goes way up. We were treated to fantastic views of rolling hills, mountains, quaint villages and crazy drivers on our way to Salzburg. Austria is blessed with a lot of natural beauty (think Sound of Music). The grass is inexplicably green and little cabins with smoking chimneys dot the hillsides. At one point I asked Dom to stop the ...

Tuesday was a bit of a day off. We switched accommodations and moved right into the town of Ljutomer, excited to explore our new surroundings. We checked out the town square and found a pretty amazing stork nest on top of an old chimney...the biggest bird nest I've ever seen. How they were able to construct it is beyond me. In ...

... s winter just like I'm used to, it just looks a little bit different. Along the Mur River it was quite humid so my afro reared its ugly head (pun intended), but the ice made for a view that was quite unique. There are only about 350,000 people in Graz, so the quiet is something that I am starting to get used to, it's nice to actually hear your feet crunch in the snow. Monday was a little bit less peaceful. It was the first day ...
