ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS. 24.11.14 Meersburg to Schwabish Hall. Left Meersburg this morning after a lovely breakfast and nice goodbye from our breakfast waitress. Went to pay the bill and they forgot to charge for the Thermal Baths which we reminded them of and paid, in any case the bill was €100 cheaper than I calculated. Left in a heavy fog which lifted then cloudy again. Got to the beautiful town ...

Dinner was at a restaurant right outside the city wall. Dinner soup tastes bad. Main dish is sausage with shared mashed potato.

And we walked away, thinking, wow, just 50 years ago, Jews wouldn't dare step foot onto Germany soil. We enjoyed just a leisure walk, taking our time as we walked around the walled city, and then back into the city center. We stopped and got me a souvenir spoon, then sat down at ...

... I imagined people walking these same routes to Rothenburg for the past 1000 years.

I had lunch in the Markt, followed by some shopping. Dear Friends, you cannot imagine the
selection of Birkenstocks here, and for around 50 Euro ($75 Cdn). I restrained myself today, with some difficulty: I will buy Birkies in Berlin, when I have less time to carry them with me. Rothenburg is also a 365 Christmas market. At ...
