... meal at the campsite restaurant the previous evening (very good too) we had the lighter thin crust pizza-type options, followed by typical Austrian puds - rich chocolate cake and apple strudel. Yum! Lunch done, we first visited the ornate baroque cathedral and gazed up in awe at the stunning dome before taking the funicular up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress which houses museums of not only military history, but also marionettes. Their pizza menu even had an icon for every pizza ingredient, so that non-German non-English speakers knew what was on each pizza - very clever. At Lienz we stopped for some petrol and lunch, where I had Tiroler Holznechtspätzle, which turned out to be a strange noodle dish with bacon, cheese and fried onions, while Jess had Osttiroler Schlipfkrapfen which was an amazingly tasty potato filled pasta cooked in browned butter. Jess doesn't usually order better than me, but she did on this occasion. From there we took ...

... in Europe felt the same way, as there were probably more than at IOM TT. We found a glacier by taking a wrong turn, but not as spectacular as the ones in NZ. The most beautiful bells chimed out in unison all around us on Sunday morning at our hotel - perfect. We had lunch in a gorgeous little village called Heiligenblut, that overlooked a beautiful valley.
We will have very special memories of this area forever ...
