... here way back when. I love the story of the centuries ago Archbishop who had the palace built and lived there with his mistress and 15 children! In Search of a Fortress: I decided to attend a Mozart Concert and a dinner in the fortress for Friday evening. I gave myself lots of time to get to the Old Town, so that I could wander and explore my way to either walk up or take the Funicular (cable car). I did both actually - walked most of the way up in the afternoon, stopping ...

... funicular was, it kind of took all the joy out of it! We made it to the top and entered Salzburg Castle and took in the beautiful scenic views! This castle actually felt a bit more like a castle, as apposed to Prague Castle. We spent a good amount of time working our way around before heading back down the funicular to explore some more of the town. Although there were tourists everywhere, I still enjoyed my time in Salzburg. It definitely had a different feel to Vienna which I kind ...

... and has the most wonderful views of the Steinberg & Alm mountains.

The pitches are arranged in such a way that you look out onto a grassy area with the nearest caravans being about 20m away, so there is a wonderful feeling of space. The facilities are warm and spotless, the people in Reception are very friendly and the amenities second to none with a small spa, cafe, bar and small ...
